The Hazardous Materials, General Safety and Dangerous Goods legislative framework defines specific requirements in areas such as employee education, up-to-date MSDS's, the separation of incompatible substances, placarding of warehouse premises / vehicles, labeling of packages, development of emergency plans and preparation of manifests detailing the type and volume of dangerous goods likely to be stored or used in the workplace. These requirements represent minimum safety standards to be adopted by all.
